Volunteer of the Month - Tara Morin

Tara has been a volunteer at Pawsitive Match for nearly a year now. She started out as a foster, then became involved on the transport committee handling the Edmonton/Calgary transports. She has recently taken on the role of Transport Coordinator, so she now coordinates the international transports as well (dogs coming in from Cabo, Cancun, LA, Montana). She also assists the foster team in recruiting dogs for the weekend adoption features.

Tara moved to Calgary from Saskatchewan 5 years ago and currently works as a process engineer for Propak in Airdrie. She also teaches piano a couple of evenings a week. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her boyfriend Ian, her chi-weiner Tilly, and her current foster pup Camila, the great escape artist.

Tara was nominated due to her incredibly calm nature in times of transport crisis (smiley face) and due to her willingness to help out wherever and whenever help is needed! She has jumped into her various roles and has been a wonderful foster and a huge asset to Pawsitive Match!

Pawsitive Match is 100% volunteer based and therefore we rely on our volunteers to operate. We greatly appreciate any and all of the help we receive.

You can help by volunteering your time and energy with us by fostering a dog, fundraising, advertising, training, grooming, transport, helping out the adoption and foster committees, or whatever else your talent may be. We always need the help of people who can help bake, sew and build. Click here to download an application and email it to volunteer@pawsitivematch.org.
