I’m a loving, playful girl who thrives on being part of family life. I’ve lived happily with children and, once I know you, I’m all about following you around, curling up nearby and soaking up affection. I’m also wonderfully quiet and settle well when it’s time to relax or when I’m left alone with a cozy space and predictable routine.

I love walks, outdoor adventures and backyard time, and a securely fenced yard would be ideal. I’m housetrained, crate trained, comfortable in the car and know several basic commands.

I’ve been excellent meeting dogs on walks, and foster families have described my interactions with both small and large dogs as good or excellent. I did not get along with one resident dog during a short placement, so if I were to live with another dog, it would need to be a good match with a slow, thoughtful introduction. Cats and small animals are not likely to be a good fit because I enjoy chasing them.

I can be cautious with unfamiliar adults entering my home or yard. I’ve had two past incidents where I nipped or bit when I felt trapped or protective, but I have had no incidents in my current foster home over the past five months. Thoughtful visitor introductions and giving me a quiet, secure space when needed will help me succeed.

My ideal family will offer me a calm, predictable home, continued positive training and lots of companionship. Give me a little time to build trust, and you’ll have an affectionate, devoted and entertaining best friend.
