Hi, I’m Patches

I’m a one-year-old bundle of energy, sweetness, and puppy charm. I’m playful, bouncy, and always ready for fun — but I also melt right into you when it’s cuddle time. I love being close to my people and am just as happy napping on the couch as I am heading out for an adventure.

I’m great with adults and older kids, and I recently met a 7-year-old who I was excited to play with (I can be a little nibbly in true puppy fashion, but it’s all playful and easily redirected). I’ve been gaining confidence on walks and am learning that strangers aren’t so scary after all.

I do wonderfully with other dogs, especially small ones — I’m playful and bouncy, but I take corrections well when I get too enthusiastic. I’ve shown some prey drive toward birds and squirrels, and I haven’t met a cat yet. A dog sibling would be a fun bonus as I continue building confidence, but it’s not required.

I’m house-trained, crate-trained (I sleep great overnight!), and I’m learning quickly. I already know sit, I’m working on shake a paw, and my recall is improving every day. I’m food motivated, smart, and love using my brain through training sessions. I walk nicely on leash with minimal pulling and am continuing to gain confidence exploring the world.

I do have that classic puppy energy — I jump when excited and can be mouthy in play — but I’m very redirectable and eager to learn. I also sometimes think slippers are toys, so keeping things picked up helps set me up for success!

With a high energy level that mellows nicely after exercise, I’d thrive in an active home that can provide daily walks, playtime, and continued training. I could live in a house or apartment as long as my physical and mental needs are met.
